Being from the mid-atlantic, to me fall means the warm days of summer combined with crisp air on the edges of day. It’s a light jacket over a tank top when you go to the bonfire on the beach. Our first fall in Washington has delivered a new meaning for me. Fall in Washington means digging out the warm coats and hoping to see the sunshine kiss the incredible leaves hanging from the trees. It means reds, oranges, and yellows against deep evergreens. It’s hot tea and endless coffee and a desire to bake something spicy. It seems to be the last hurrah before the promise of grey that Seattle is known for.
