Summer in Seattle | Everyday Photo Walks in the Pacific Northwest

Morning walk along Lake Washington, Kirkland, WA

There is never a shortage of beauty in the Pacific Northwest. The entire region is so deeply immersed in nature that it’s hard for a photographer to complain that there is “nothing to photograph.” I try to make photo walks a part of my regular routine, even if it’s something short and sweet while I’m out running errands.

I love how despite being way too far from an ocean, there seems to be water access everywhere. And when I get to missing my pollinator garden, I can take a walk through the neighborhoods to appreciate my neighbors beautiful yards.

While I haven’t spent much time photographing the city sights, I did find myself near Kerry Park when my brother was in town. While Mount Rainier was hidden by the clouds, the Seattle skyline was still spectacular in the late evening light.

While I doubt I’ll ever complete a 365 photography project, finding these little moments of everyday beauty makes me feel more grateful for simplicity.
