Click Away Conference 2022 - Together Again in Chicago

The last Click Away was held just a few short days before the world went into lockdown in 2020. The memories of laughter and inspiration shared with our photography friends held us over until we could gather together again in Chicago earlier this month- but just barely! You could tell by the infectious smiles and tight hugs that the main thing spreading at this event would be friendship and memories.

We spent the long weekend at the Fairmont Chicago, the perfect base for exploring the city. When not taking classes at the Click Away Conference, we visited the Chicago History Museum to see the Vivian Maier exhibit, took a sunset architecture cruise, and ate our way through many of Chicago’s best restaurants.

The classes were rich and fulfilling- everything from street photography and cityscapes to the importance of blogging for SEO. My favorite take away of the weekend was embracing the freedom of using my iPhone. Most images shared here were with captured on my iPhone and edited in Lightroom mobile. The simplicity of exploring town with something that fit in my pocket gave me the freedom to live in the moment, soaking up the sights and memories with friends until we gather again.
