An Afternoon of Waterfalls in Oregon

travel photography, oregon

Our last adventure in Oregon was a visit to Silver Falls State Park.  It was another rainy day, which is perfect for shooting waterfalls, but not so perfect for camera gear.  Silver Falls has an abundance of waterfalls to see, but we only visited two because of the rain.  My favorite was North falls.  It's cascade created the perfect ponytail!  And the green was so lush surrounding it.

North Falls is the most popular because it's right at the visitors center.  The trail travels right behind the falls, which I imagine is an incredible treat for the kids to see.  Because the wind was howling and the rain was falling, shooting long exposures was certainly a challenge!
