Wildlife Photography at Juanita Bay Park

Juanita Bay Park sits on the northern edge of Kirkland, WA along the shores of Juanita Bay, just off Lake Washington. The park is a wildlife refuge offering excellent bird-watching opportunities year-round. Bald Eagles are regularly spotted fishing in the waters of the bay as well as 200 additional species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. During my visits I largely focused on immersing myself in the natural environment, absorbing the sights, sounds, and smells surrounding me. It’s impossible not to feel in touch with nature during a visit to this oasis.
