A Visit from Mr. Hummingbird

The pollinator garden was pretty much complete when I found a Wild Thing Salvia plant at the garden center.  It was already in full bloom, loaded with beautiful fuchsia colored flowers and much to big for me to cram into the remaining space.  I almost walked away.  But the plant was beautiful and had a friendly price tag, so I brought it home and relocated a plant so it would fit.  Later that day, the hummingbird paid his first visit.  He fluttered and flitted from blossom to blossom as his wings worked in overtime.  Every morning since I planted the flower, I can be certain that one of the hummingbirds will be stopping by for a visit as I wait for the coffee to brew.
