Surfing in Pacifica

I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that surfing was one of the top items on the Cali must do list!  We hit the coast just after sunrise at a little beach called Pacifica.  I opted to stay bundled up on the beach with my camera rather than paddling into the chilly water.  The lineup was full of surfers in black wet-suits, fighting for a ride.  I immediately lost Forrest when he paddled out, so I spent my time noticing the vastly different coastline to our home on the east coast.  Light hits differently in the morning on the west coast and the city view in the distance left much to the imagination.  I loved the surf shacks mixed in with the beautiful coastal homes, both seemingly falling off a cliff.  The sand wasn't anywhere near what we are used to, but the rocky coastline made it so much more interesting.  Somehow I missed photographing the Taco Bell that sits right on the beach.
