Snowshoeing Crater Lake National Park

Visiting Crater Lake National Park in winter was at the top of my PNW bucket list. I had visited in the summer and seen the dusty shores kissed by the rising sun. But, I longed to see it covered in white. So when we learned that southern Oregon was covered in snow over the Thanksgiving weekend, we set off with our snowshoes. We were gifted with a brilliant, clear blue sky and perfect conditions. And while I crossed off seeing Crater Lake in the winter, I’ve added camping at Crater Lake in the winter to my bucket list!
