Purple Rose | Macro Photography

purple rose

When Forrest came in with this perfect purple rose, I immediately got out my macro lens.  It's a lens that I don't use nearly enough, too often distracted by other things.  Using it reminded me of why I love it, the closeness, the details, the simple perfect beauty it captures in the frame.  Macro photography is hard.  Compositions are challenging and nailing focus is harder than any mountain I've climbed.  But, it's also relaxing, soothing, and somewhat therapeutic.
