Botanical Gardens are one of my favorite things, so when I learned that the Jardín Botánico de Quito was named as one of Gardenista’s 100 top gardens, I had to go. Ecuador is known for both roses and for orchids, and both of these exhibits were impressive. There was also a visiting exhibit of bonsais which was absolutely incredible, many decades old.
