The Last Afternoon in the Blue Ridge Mountains

After a morning spent at Soco Falls, we drove north along the Blue Ridge Parkway towards Kathy's home. We stopped for lunch at an overlook and enjoyed the brilliant sky and the view of the Devil's Courthouse climbing area.

We arrived back at Kathy's house with enough time to enjoy happy hour on her back deck surrounded by the birds. Her deck is practically a tree house and might be one of my favorite spots to sit in the world!

We ended our photography gathering with a delicious dinner and beautiful sunset at the Grove Park Inn.
