Last week was a long week. We lost a dear friend from college and my heart was aching as I pushed through a family portrait session. Fortunately, at the shoot there was the most adorable 2 year old with wild hair and a contagious smile. I knew when I said goodbye to the family that I would work harder to remember her joy over my sadness. As we left the beach, the sky turned the most incredible shades of pink and purple, my most favorite colors. We all stopped for a moment, silently watching and soaking in as much of this beautiful moment as we could. I grabbed one last photograph to seal the moment as a memory forever.
