Breathtakingly Beautiful Views at Garrapata State Park

Last year during Sony Kando 2.0, I fell in love with the California coastline between Monterey and Big Sur. Known for having inspired countless authors, musicians, and visual artists, this stretch of land is as rugged as it is beautiful. One of my favorite spots along the coast is Garrapata State Park. We arrived under grey skies planning to climb to the top of Soberanes Point. The shoreline and edges of the trail were covered in wild flowering rapeseed (a.k.a. canola oil flowers!) and made the landscape appear a little less dull under the grey sky. But once we reached the top of the point and the marine layer lifted, our breath was taken away by the beautiful landscape and views of the jewel colored Pacific Ocean.
