A Day Hike in Los Padres National Forest

On our way to our new home in California, we stopped off to stretch our legs at Los Padres National Forest.  We parked our moving truck towing my Jeep in a tiny lot at the base of the Cuestra Ridge Trail and set off to the viewpoint at the summit.  The sun was still high in the sky and the marine layer from the nearby coast was creating a mist to keep us cool during our climb.  The hike provided 360 degree views and we were in awe of the idea of living in a place where the mountains actually touch the sea.
